Our story begins in St. Louis, Missouri, where a shared passion for food and an unbreakable bond between two chefs became something truly special. Our current head chef, Wayne and Bobby Stanley were more than just business partners—they were united by a love for the art of cooking and a commitment to bringing joy to others through their culinary creations.

Bob Stanley, a proud veteran of the United States Navy, served his country with honor and dedication. After retiring from the Navy, he found a new mission—one that would bring him back to his roots and allow him to share his love for food with the local community. He convinced his longtime friend, Wayne, to join him on this new adventure. Together, they embarked on a journey to create a successful restaurant in St. Louis. The two chefs worked side by side. They spent countless hours in the kitchen, experimenting with flavors, refining recipes, and perfecting their signature sauces. Their dedication paid off, with each dish becoming a testament to their culinary prowess. From the rich pasta sauces to our renowned recipes, every creation was a labor of love, crafted with care and passion.

But as with all great stories, there came a time of profound loss. Bob Stanley's passing left a void that was felt deeply by all who knew him, especially by Wayne. In honor of his dear friend and business partner, Wayne made the difficult decision to start anew, in a new environment and in a new location. Chef Stanley’s is not just as a restaurant, but as a living tribute to the man who had been so much more than a chef. The name itself is a beacon of remembrance, a symbol of the legacy that Bob Stanley left behind. His Navy service and his culinary innovations continue to live on in every dish served at Chef Stanley’s.
